I don’t have enough wonderful things to say about this location! I have always despised picking out new glasses but all the staff here are incredibly helpful and nice and the whole experience was so pleasant. Dr Polk is just as wonderful too. Best place for an eye exam and picking out new glasses ! Highly recommended!

What a wonderful experience! Honestly it was easily the best eye exam I’ve had, and I’ve been going once a year for over a decade now (first time here, though). I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and had my insurance being processed while I was quickly brought in for my initial testing before seeing the doctor. After I did that initial testing I was told my visit today would be fully covered by my insurance and after waiting no more than 2 minutes in the waiting room the doctor came out to call me back for my full exam. After my exam, we decided to try a new brand of contact lenses and the doctor brought me back to the front and a lovely lady helped me with calling my insurance provider to see how much they would cover for glasses and/or contact lenses. She showed me the section of glasses that fit that budget point and let me know anti glare and anti scratch coating would be an additional $50 (which I opted for because it’s SO worth it in my experience). She also let me know that many of the glasses come in other colours and to put aside the shapes and fit that I liked and we could check the available colours and patterns online together. On top of that, she brought me back to the glasses section to show me what the actual colours of each set of frames would closely resemble for the colour options we found online. Truly an above and beyond experience with her (and now I feel extra bad for forgetting her name). The doctor was also wonderful! He allowed me to ask questions and he answered each of them with patience and kindness, ensuring I left our appointment with all of my questions answered. Additionally, he was ON TIME! This is a huge one for me. Not only was he on time, but he was thorough, a rare experience for most people seeing a doctor for any reason/specialty. Overall, truly a great experience with wonderful staff and a lovely space and I will definitely be making this my “home” clinic for all my vision needs and you should too!

I visited Prairie Eye Care with both my children (Age 5 and 2) and Dr. Natalie Polk was absolutely amazing! We’ve never had such a successful appointment. She was patient, kind, and made my kids feel so comfortable! She answered all my questions thoroughly and was a pleasure to visit. The staff at the front desk were also wonderful! The sweet woman who did the pre-testing really took her time with my two year old and got our appointment started off on the right foot. When we finished the whole appointment, my kids didn’t want to leave. Would recommend this clinic to anyone!

I visited Prairie Eye Care to get fitted for contact lenses, and had a great experience. Dr. Polk is very friendly and willing to help, she will keep working with you until you are fully satisfied with your contact lenses. Highly recommend for anything vision related.

Brought my 6 year old daughter here for an eye exam to double-check her prescription. The doctors and staff were all professional, friendly, and super patient with kids. My daughter felt so comfortable that she goes home and pretends to “test my vision” on me—such a relaxed and positive experience!

I purchased my eye glass from this clinic after an eye exam with them. I experienced some unexpected problems with my eye glasses. I cant believe how Jenny handled the situation. She was very helpful from the begging. Tried her best. Finally, she resolved it in a very professional way. Thank you Jenny. Again,I give 10/10 for her great customer service.

I highly recommend this clinic the front desk staff are extremely kind, professional, and skilled Dr. Nana Owusu is an excellent optometrist who truly takes his time with patients he explains everything thoroughly, listens to all concerns, and makes sure nothing is rushed or brushed aside, which is rare to find overall, an outstanding experience

I took my girls (5, 4 & 2.5 yo) in for annual checkups recently and the entire experience was amazing! All the staff are super friendly and Dr. Polk was so good with the kids. She made them feel comfortable and they had so much fun “playing games” with her.

I rarely go into retain eyewear locations to shop for glasses. I've always been shopping online and decided to check out prairie eye care! Ashali and Krista were fantastic through the whole process. I was surprised to find two pairs of glasses on day 1 and ashali was able to recommend two pairs that I would not normally go for. I ended up loving them. The clinic was clean and modern and they had great recommendations. I appreciate how quickly they work here as well. I was able to get my hands on my glasses right before moving out of Winnipeg. I decided to alter my lenses after a few weeks or so and decided to send them back to get the blue light filters added to them one by one. I recommend getting them done on day one, even though they have a purple glare to them. It makes a huge difference and the purple glare is kinda cool! They were able to 1 day ship both pairs back once I sent them back, which was awesome. I would highly recommend this location! Thanks for the great service and taking care of my glasses!

Dr Phipps is my favourite Dr ever 💛 She saw my kiddo when they were just days old, and we've looked forward to seeing her each year since. Her care and knowledge are unmatched!

It was my first time taking my little ones to see a paediatric specialist at the centre. Dr. Polk was super informative and wonderful with the kids! Everyone was very friendly and helpful! We had a great experience and will definitely be continuing to go here.

Been going here with my daughter for our eye exams and glasses for a few years. It has always been a great experience. Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Very accommodating, very good with kids. Highly recommend!

Jenny was wonderful in helping my daughter find the right fit. My daughter has Down syndrome, and finding something that works for her adorable tiny nose can be tricky. Her prescription is also very high which limits her options. Jenny worked with her through play, and she was very good at communicating and speaking directly to my daughter rather than through me. We loved the experience, and will be sure to recommend Prairie Eye Care to other families.
