Visual Field Testing

Visual Field testing provides your Prairie Eye Care optometrist the ability to evaluate your peripheral vision as well as optic nerve function.

CHANGES TO THE VISUAL FIELD

Problems within a person's peripheral vision could be due to a number of causes. Your eye doctor can use the information from the visual field testing to diagnose conditions like:

  • Glaucoma
  • Macular degeneration

  • Optic glioma

  • Diabetic Retinopathy
  • Brain tumor, and others

This test is also important for driver licensings, RCMP, Police, Paramedic and Firefighter applications.
